How many people actually work at MAAC?

37 Full-Time, 1 Part-Time and 3 Interns as of October 2013.

What is MAAC?

A continuum of private providers that provide placement and support services for at-risk youth and families throughout the state of Georgia.

How is MAAC funded?

Largely through state contracts and grants. We do get some donations throughout the year as well. If we received more funding, we would be able to extend our successful approach to even more at-risk children.

Is MAAC like DFCS? If not, how are they different?

We are similar only in that we staff youth for placements. MAAC is able to customize services and supports for our youth due to our relationship with private providers and independent contractors. Also, only one application is needed to access the services of all of our contracted agencies.

How can I refer a youth to MAAC?

If in DFCS custody, the youth's case manager can complete an if in parental custody, our wraparound services may be an option:
